9:45 am: phone rings (Kabayan calling)

Me: What’s up Boss?!

Boss: Whats up Lawrence!! Ano bang balita jan?

Me: Ayos lang bosing kakarating lang dito sa Target

Boss: Ok pala toh si Kris ahh, nakakatuwa

Me: Yeah boss kwela tlaga yan

Boss: Witty siya kumbaga, witty (clever,funny)

Me: Yup! Yup! D siya ung tulad ng ibang babae na ala-drama queen

Boss: Thats good thats good

Me: Eh kamusta naman training nio boss?

Boss: Ayos si Kris men, marunong siya

Me: Syempre boss binigyan ko na yata yan ng initial training

Boss: Katatapos lang namin dito sa Walgreens. Magaling siya men, she knows what to do

Me: heheheh thats rite thats rite

Boss: Mukang mapapadali ang training namin dito, masuhay eh madaling turuan

Me: thats kool boss, tapos naba kau??

Boss: hindi pa, puntahan pa namin ung isa pang Rite Aid niya

Me: ayus yan boss, o sige tawagan nalang tau mamaya magsimula narin ako dito sa Target

Boss: O cige at tawagan nalang tau mamaya, mag starbux muna kami ni kris pagkatapos ng training d kana namin maisasama at may trabajo kapa jan

Me: Starbux ko boss? hehehehe sige si Kris nalang bahala sa starbux ko pag paycheck na nia

Boss: Loko dapat nga ako ang ilibre mo at ang rami mo nanamang kwarto, sweldo nanaman ngaung araw!

Me: D naman boss, konti lang

Boss: Kya nga pala ako tumawag, gusto kong sabihin sau na buti pa si Kris ang daling turuan, d sumasakit ulo ko! (giggles) :)

Me: ahhahahaha wala yan boss mas mahusay ako, I’m ur sidekick ryt?! =))

Boss: hehehehe o sige Lawrence yngatz ka jan

Me: Ingat din kau jan boss, bbye!

Why are Duke students all so unattractive? This is a serious question. 

   If ever i can bring back the time when i was being pursued by some military recruiters, i might consider joining the AIR FORCE. Why? Simply bcoz “I Believe I Can FLy”

   Ever since I was a kid, I really enjoyed goin to the airport, watchin planes, and just simply listen to a plane engine makin its soaring type of a noise… I just love airplanes, period(.) It makes u feel like ur on top of the world, unless another plane is flyin in higher elevation, then ur not yet on top… LMAO!!

   So during 07, every department of the military have recruited me (Navy, Army, Marines, AF, Coast guard etc…) but i didnt join any coz my freakin ____ doesnt want me to make my own decision, yet… So yea i managed to juz like my milatary inspiration alone, but then i started to made some research about those.

   I ma give a big consideration on the Airforce, and be a pilot!!! But its not as simple as that… First, u GOTTA HAVE A BACHELORS DEGREE.. and it requires much longer service commitment since its a costly manuever for them to teach fly big birds for free…! I kinda forgot how long it will take to fly a fighter plane, but for sure u will need about 5 years to get high in the sky.

   I was wonderin, if im gonna have to get my degree nxt year, ima start my Air Force life at 23 or 24, then be a top notch pilot and spend 20 yrs till retirement… Imagine that, I can retire at age 44 and receive all the post duty benefits and ur only 44!!!. I can still fly a commercial airplane, earn around 150-200K a year plus military benefits… It doesnt get any better than that.. So I can only bring back time, I wanna be an Air Force pilot.

   As what the title says, i just witnessed duke basketball 2010-11 for the first time this year… If u guys don’t know yet, we are the defending ncaa basketball champs, and we’re gunnin for more, obviously a re-peat or what u call a back2back.

   This year’s duke team has a really great shot of accomplishing that goal, since they’ve had a good recruiting class (just to mention Kyrie Irving, u can do ur own research on him)… Duke fans like I do are very hyped up and the expectations are really really on the top of the mountain.

   Ofcourse I’ve wanted to see a game, a live tv game… I missed the first 3 games, they we’re blow-out games and it doesn’t really present a real challenge on them Their previous 3 opponents can’t simply matchup against DUKE (Miami-OH, Princeton, Colgate)… DUKE easily cruises through their first 3 opening season games with an average win margin of more than 40 ppg, ouch!!!

   Well, their foes earlier definitely can present a tougher test.. Marquette Golden Eagles is a team that went all the way to the Elite Eight during last year’s NCAA tournament… Moreover, this is funny, Marquette was the last team to defeat DUKE during last years month of November… So i guess some people are thinking of a Dejavu, seriously??

   The game earlier was more infavor of Duke, they’ve had an early lead and never looked back… They’ve never trailed either, but midway through the second half, Marquette managed to claw their way back and tied the game at 57-57… DUKE was very fortunate to have a hall-of-fame worthy coach at Mike Krzyzewski (aka coach K)… Coach K at one point got fired up that he got into his players mind instructing them that they needed some more fire to win this game… His players responded with a 7-0 run less than 10 mins remaining in the game… From that point, DUKE just demonstrated that they were the defending champs. They’ve eventually won the game 82-77. A win is a win, but it’s a more than just a game, it was a battle.

   Before I watch the game, I have a big expectation from super Frosh Kyrie Irving… Lots of people we’re comparing him to great former Dukie Jay Williams… I guess he’s more than JayWiLL. Kyrie is more athletic, but u’ve got to give the intangibles to JayWill since he has won a National Championship at DUKE during his time… So while watching Kyrie, i realized that this game wasn’t meant for him… He has had more than 20 assists versus only 2 turnovers in 3 prior contests, he’s had like 6-7 turnovers in the Marquette game alone… Not much offensive prowess either although he’s had a decent 11 pts 8 ast nite… The ballgame should belong to sophomore C Mason Plumlee… The kid just had a career nite (25pts,12rebs,6blks and key assists). He should some really good post up points out there, i remember seeing prime Tim Duncan in him earlier… Is Plumlee kept on playing like that the whole year, he might get lured by the NBA to leave skool early, thats g^y!!

   All in all, i love to see duke basketball first hand this year… It sux to see that 57-57 tie game moment, but i wasnt realy worried coz of the intangibles duke players and coaches have and they know how to utilize it in crunchtime… I wanna watch more games as often as possible, they are the clear favorites to win it all again this year.

PS. Even though duke fans are assuming that these players will leave after the academic year: Nolan Smith, SR; Kyle Singler, SR; Kyrie Irving, pro draft; Mason Plumlee, pro draft; We still have a great recruiting class for nxt year… Austin Rivers (#1 recruit for 2011) will provide some ^^ u know what i mean… So don’t stop believin in DUKE BLUE!!!!
